  • Training, Information & Awareness

    AFCR provides training in conflict management and transformation, mediation, reconciliation, and restorative justice. Numerous informative and awareness raising seminars and activities have been organized targeting judges, prosecutors, police officers, lawyers, mediators, teachers, local government specialist, students, etc. Media has also been used to promote the advantages of mediation.
  • Mediation Service

    Mediation services are provided by our professional and qualified mediators. 19 mediators are listed in the AFCR license, accredited by the National Commission for Mediators Accreditation. Our mediators abide by the Law on Mediation in Dispute Resolution, and have adhered to the AFCR Code of Conduct for Mediators. We provide mediation services in civil, family and criminal cases, as provided by law. Should you need our assistance, please contact us, and you will be provided with professional mediation service.
  • Restorative Justice Program

    Restorative justice, an alternative approach to the aftermath of criminal matters, and form of diversion from criminal proceedings is increasingly being promoted, developed and implemented worldwide. AFCR, in cooperation with state institutions, supported by donors, has largely contributed to development of RJ in Albania, particularly for juveniles.
  • Peer Mediation in Schools

    Educating young generation with the culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and respect to diversity and mediation in conflict resolution has been one of the main components of AFCR since its establishments. Currently the program is being implemented in 19 primary and high schools in 9 districts, supported by Save the Children and SACP.
  • Studies & Researches

    AFCR counts on a long list of studies and researches. A group of professional researchers are engaged in conducting researches in the areas of democracy development, conflict resolution, mediation, restorative justice, religious harmony, etc. For more information about our studies, refer to our publications page.

INTERNATIONAL MEDIATION INSTITUTE is a non-profit public interest initiative to drive transparency and high competency standards into mediation practice across all fields, worldwide. It is the only organization in the world to transcend local jurisdictions to develop global, professional standards for experienced mediators, advocates and others involved in collaborative dispute resolution and negotiation processes. To become an IMI Certified Mediator, you must first be qualified for IMI Certification by a Qualifying Assessment Program (QAP) that has been approved by the IMI Independent Standards Commission (ISC).

AFCR is one of the IMI Qualifying Assessment Programs, approved by ISC.
