Intercultural dialogue is a tool for peacebuilding and reconciliation in the region - joint workshop, Durres, 26-27 May 2022

Students, teachers and youth activists from three high schools in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, respectively from “Petro Nini” in Tirana, Gymnasia in Mostar, and "Orde Chopela" in Prilep, gathered to learn and discuss about peacebuilding and reconciliation in the region.

Dealing with prejudices, stereotypes, facilitating and promoting intercultural dialogue as well as restorative practices in school as means of building good neighbourly relations, reconciliation and peace were the most discussed topics between students. They were very activly engaged to be part of the next steps of the project expressing their will to share it with their friends.
 
The activity was organized as part of the project “Strengthening intercultural dialogue as a tool for youth-to-youth connection and good neighbourly relations in the region”, implemented by the Albanian Foundation for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation of Disputes (Albania), in partnership with The Interactive Education and Resource Network – IMOR, Bitola, North Macedonia and The Nansen Dialogue Center, Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. The project is funded by the Western Balkans Fund and European Union joint Regional Grant Scheme, part of the project “Support to the promotion of Civil Society Regional Activities in the Western Balkans”.
