Seminar on the Referral mechanism of cases to mediation – Elbasan, 29 June 2022

Representatives from prosecution office, police, probation service and mediators attended a seminar on the referral mechanism of cases to mediation. The activity aimed at increasing the awareness of local stakeholders of the mediation alternative. The participants were actively engaged in discussing the types of cases that can be managed through mediation, the role of each institution and the possibilities of increasing cooperation with the mediation service for a wider use of this service.

The seminar was organized in cooperation with the Local Branch of Mediators in Elbasan, as part of the project “Empowering and strengthening the mediation system in Albania, that is implemented by CSSP – Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation in partnership with the National Chamber of Mediators and the Albanian Foundation for “Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation of Disputes”, with funding from the Austrian Development Agency.
