The project focused on these main elements:

- awareness raising for local state and civil society agencies, school,therefore aiming at building social support for reconciliation programs;

- capacity building  (basic and advanced training for mediators/facilitators)

- mediation/reconciliation service provision (around 4-5 cases a month in each district).

- media promotion.

The awareness and training program for network members (selection and participation of lokal government specialists, police officers, teachers, activists of civil society and NGO leaders) directly influenced in increasing their mediation and reconciliation capacities and skills in managing and settling conflicts and disputes in community.

The awareness and training activities consisted in identifying and knowing the types of conflicts, their management, and potentials of their settlement through reconciliation and mediation according to modern techniques of the latter.

The mediation/reconciliation service was provided in accordance with the Albanian civil and penal legislation and the law on Mediation in Dispute Resolution, making also use of the good tradition of Albanian customary law of reconciliation.
